Saudi oil consumption is double the global rate: Aramco

Saudi Aramco said that local consumption of oil, which hit four million barrels a day, is considered one of the highest rates in the world and called for reducing production and consumption of power, and identifying alternative power sources, Arab News has reported. "According to international statistics, the average amount of individual consumption of oil in KSA is double the international consumption rate," said Ahmad Al-Khiwaitir, executive manager of power systems at Aramco.
