Saudi ports register 9% growth in container traffic

According to a report by Kuwait Financial Centre (Markaz), Saudi Arabia's nine ports have recorded a 9% growth in container traffic in 2011 to six million twenty foot equivalent units (TEU), Saudi Gazette has reported. The Jeddah port alone accounted for four million TEU of container traffic in 2011, and is one of the top 50 container ports in the world with a ranking of 27, said Markaz.
