Saudi Railway paid SR6.36bn for expropriated properties for Haramain Railway

The Saudi Railway Organisation (SRO) has said it has disbursed so far 95% of the SR6.7bn in compensation for expropriated properties on the course of the Haramain Railway, Arab News has reported. The number of properties along the course of the project, stretching from Makkah to Madinah and passing through Jeddah, amounts to 5,600 land plots, said SRO president, Mohammed Al-Suwaiket.
