Schneider Electric to demonstrate DCIM technology expertise at IDC Saudi Arabia CIO Summit 2012

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, will reiterate its market leadership in the datacenter infrastructure management (DCIM) space as part of its support to IDC Saudi Arabia CIO Summit 2012.

Themed 'Driving the Agenda for Business Success', the two-day event will be held from 25-26 September at the Hilton Hotel, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Mohamed Jamil Bin Ahmed Mulla, Minister of Communications & Information Technology.

In its capacity as the platinum sponsor, Schneider Electric will showcase solutions such as StruxureWare and its operations software platform that offer advanced analysis and smartphone support to enable improved data center management.

Schneider Electric executives will be on hand to discuss latest trends in enterprise management and software.

Soeren Schroeder, Sales Director - Software, IT Business - Schneider Electric, will address the gathering on day-two of the summit, highlighting the company's latest hardware and software offerings including critical power and cooling services and its leadership in R&D investment.

Schneider Electric's recent achievements in the DCIM space include the iCMG IT Infrastructure Award for successfully deploying Tier IV* data center solution to the Saudi Telecom Company (STC). It has also been recognized with the 'Best Data Center Middle East' distinction and the 'Middle East Green Award for Sustainability', which was collected during the Data Center Middle East Awards.

Saudi Arabia and the UAE have demonstrated relatively strong growth potential in 2011-2012. Saudi Arabia will continue to be the regional growth hub largely for its ongoing investments in various sectors including infrastructure, public sector services and social programs.

According to IDC, the Saudi IT market, the largest in the Middle East, totaled $7.1bn in 2012, and is expected to grow rapidly to surpass $12.4bn by 2016.
