SCOPE ME and NSFOCUS partner to help Middle East enterprises secure web application deployments

Scope Middle East (SCOPE ME), a specialty distributor and technology solutions provider in the Middle East, announced at Gitex that it is has signed a distributorship agreement with a NSFOCUS, a global leader in enterprise-level network security solutions.

SCOPE ME, which is now authorized to distribute the entire range of enterprise security solutions from the vendor, has confirmed its focus on the Web Application Firewall (WAF) segment which it believes to be a high-growth market in the Middle East.

SCOPE ME is a well established solutions provider in the region and sees this new partnership as a means to address the growing need for better web application security. Mr. Fadi AbuEkab, CEO, SCOPE said, "There is no doubt that increasing connectivity and the consumerization of IT are driving trends in the Middle East. As customers increasingly demand the delivery of online services, businesses are compelled to hasten deployment of their web-based applications. At the same time, cyber crime has been particularly rampant in the region with a number of government and private organizations reporting large scale attacks."

The NSFOCUS WAF protects a website, its data, and its users from online attacks such as HTTP Flood, SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF, etc., based on the solid understanding of continuously updated web threat profiles. The NSFOCUS WAF enables security experts, network administrators and application developers to identify and mitigate the risk of denial of services, data leakage and web defacement, thereby ensuring maximum security and availability of web applications. SCOPE will also distribute NSFOCUS's range of solutions for DDoS prevention and mitigation, Network Intrusion Prevention (NIP) and vulnerability management.

SCOPE will be demonstrating products and solutions from NSFOCUS at its stand number Z-K25 in Zabeel Hall at Gitex Technology Week.
