Seattle delegation visits DWC as part of business mission

Aside from touring key facilities in DWC, the Seattle delegation has also participated in several meetings with government and business entities in the UAE.

Tay Yoshitani, CEO, Port of Seattle, said, "We are looking to enhance strategic relations with the UAE, in addition to exploring opportunities for investors as well as technology, education and service providers from Seattle. Dubai World Central's Mohsen Ahmed, Director - Operation Development and Stakeholder Relations; Michel Makhlouta, Director - Aviation; and Tahnoon Saif, Director - Corporate Strategy, received the visiting delegation that included members of the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle, the Center of Excellence for Aerospace & Manufacturing, Green River Community College, Economic Development Council of Seattle and King County, and representatives of other public and private companies. The senior officials also conducted a presentation about DWC's state-of-the-art facilities and its unique features.

Mohsen Ahmed further discussed DWC's multi-modal logistics platform, which includes direct access to the airport and seaport. He also talked about plans to integrate DWC with the upcoming Etihad Rail, which will be connected in later stages to the GCC Railway Network, giving companies operating in DWC secure land access to other countries in the GCC.
