Shaikh Hamdan reviews food safety initiatives of DM at Gulfood 2013

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister of Finance, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Municipality visited Dubai Municipality pavilion within Gulfood 2013 held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center. This came during the opening of Gulfood 2013.

He was received by Khalid Ali Bin Zayed, Assistant Director General for International Affairs and Partnerships and Khalid Sharif Al Awadhi, Director of Food Control Department in the presence of a number of municipality officials where HH was briefed about the participation of Municipality in the exhibition and its role in the application of global rules and requirements adopted in the field of food safety.

He was also briefed about the efforts of Municipality in the field of food trade and monitoring of ports as well as importing and exporting in line with globally adopted laws and regulations.

The systems of registration, inspection, monitoring and certificates of international recognition were exhibited.
