Sharjah allocates 48,000 plots for Emiratis

The government of Sharjah has said Emiratis will need about 48,000 plots of land for building houses in the emirate until 2025, Emirates 24-7 has reported. Sharjah has allocated 13,616 residential plots of land in the emirate to UAE nationals from 2006 to 2012, said head of the Sharjah Directorate of Town Planning and Survey (DTPS), Salah Butti Al Muhairi. Citizens were also granted 6,272, 6,236 and 445 plots of land for commercial, industrial and agricultural use, respectively, between 2007 and 2012, added Al Muhairi.
