Sharjah freezes rent hikes for three years

Owners of buildings in the emirate of Sharjah have been warned by the municipality to not hike rents before the completion of three years, Khaleej Times has reported. The warning comes following a large number of complaints regarding the increase in rent during the end of the 2012 and beginning of 2013, the municipality said.
