Sharjah Islamic Bank to provide Dhs1bn funding to SMEs

Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB) has signed an agreement with Ruwad Establishment that will see the lender finance the enterprises agreed with Ruwad and that meet the criteria stipulated in the agreement, Gulf News has reported. SIB has allocated a Dhs1bn to finance small-scale corporations that run small to medium size enterprises with the aim to finance all small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country. The Islamic lender will also finance all enterprises carried out by Ruwad due to the growth witnessed by the SME sector, as well as its growing importance on an international level.
