The Sharks UAE Rugby Academy kicks off in Al Ain

The highly anticipated The Sharks UAE Rugby Academy kicks off with the first of its UAE-based sessions this Sunday February 10th, 5.30pm at Al Ain Rugby Club.

Dubai's first session will be held at Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) at 5pm on Tuesday February 12th followed by the Capital's first session hosted at Zayed Sports City 4.30pm on Wednesday February 13th.

The Sharks UAE Rugby Academy will offer ambitious under 15 and under 18 players the opportunity to train and develop the core skills of the game through the Academy's high-performance programmes, franchised from the world famous 'The Sharks Academy' based in Durban.

Integral to the development of future generations of UAE Rugby player the Academy will offer two terms, per season, as well as holiday camps and various regional and international rugby tours.

Mohammed Falaknaz, Chairman of UAERF, commented, "We are very excited to commence our programmes under The Sharks UAE Rugby Academy banner and are very pleased to host the first session in Al Ain at the Al Ain Rugby Club."

"They (Sharks Academy) are clearly the leaders in the field of developing players for professional rugby, so we anticipate solid growth of UAE based rugby players from which to boost our player pool," he added.
