Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the stand of the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre during GITEX 2012

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has today visited the special stand of the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC) which is showcasing Abu Dhabi's digital transformation during GITEX 2012 - the latest edition of the MENASA region's biggest ICT event which began today in Dubai.

ADSIC Director General Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori along with key members of the ADSIC team personally received H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, who commended the core e-services ADSIC offers to government and private entities.

H.H. particularly complimented the Centre's main focus on its Abudhabi.ae e-Government Portal; its 24-hour Abu Dhabi Government Contact Centre (800 555); its Jobs Abu Dhabi employment listing and hunting website; and the Abu Dhabi Spatial Data Infrastructure (AD-SDI) program which shares geospatial data resources among government agencies and other stakeholders. He also approved of the various programs, strategies, services and plans exhibited by the government body in charge of Abu Dhabi's ICT agenda.

Running from October 14 to 18, 2012, this year's GITEX welcomes over 3,500 ICT companies from 77 countries and more than 138,000 ICT professionals from 144 countries to network and discuss the latest industry trends, technologies and best practices. Over 80% of the world's top ICT brands are represented at the week-long event.
