Shell awards Wood Group CCC Majnoon field development deal

Wood Group CCC, a joint venture between the UK's Wood Group and Consolidated Contractors Co (CCC), has been awarded by Shell Iraq Petroleum a commissioning services contract for the first phase of the Majnoon field, near Basra in southern Iraq. Wood Group said the contract will be met by 200 of its workers who will assist in start-up operations and facilities testing of new production facilities, pipelines and infrastructure. The value of the contract has not been disclosed.
