  • PRESS RELEASE

Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai has unveiled details of a forthcoming authentic Portuguese restaurant, Piri Piri, which will open in October 2012 this year.

The 120-cover rustic restaurant will include both indoor and al fresco dining, as well as an elegant poolside bar. Piri Piri will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, serving a selection of classic Portuguese cuisine available from an extensive a la carte menu.

Chef de Cuisine Luis Salgueiro, who has joined Piri Piri directly from his native country, Portugal, will create and prepare high standard, authentic cuisine using his experience and accomplished culinary skills. With an eye for quality and a palate for flavours, chef Luis endeavours to take guests on a true culinary journey across Portugal using fresh ingredients whilst showcasing some of the country's most distinctive flavours.

Typical dishes will include Seafood cataplana; a popular dish from the Algarve that includes fresh shrimp, squid and mussels cooked in exotic spices and served with rice. Another seafood-inspired dish available will be Amejioas a moda Algarvia; a bowl of steamed clams in a white grape and garlic sauce, and not forgetting the Frango Piri Piri; a signature chicken dish marinated in a homemade Piri Piri sauce.

Sanjeev Gohlan, general manager at Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai, commented on the soon-to-launch restaurant, "We are looking forward to introducing a truly authentic Portuguese restaurant to the market - a new concept which we feel will be welcomed to the Dubai dining scene.

With chef Luis joining us from Portugal, Piri Piri will encompass the true flavours from the country's rich and full-flavoured cuisine. Guests will experience Portuguese dining at its finest with excellent quality ingredients, attentive service, and exceptional value for money."

In a fresh, contemporary chic setting Piri Piri will offer a warm and relaxing ambience reminiscent of a charming eatery found in the Algarve - one of Portugal's most discerning dining destinations.

Providing an honest and comfortable dining experience, combined with an extensive menu offering delicious Portuguese plates, Piri Piri will soon become a must-visit spot for the whole family.
