Siemens to educate schoolchildren in Oman on renewable energy

German electronics and electrical engineering group Siemens has launched an initiative, in collaboration with Oman's heritage and culture ministry, aimed at helping Omani school children learn about the different types of renewable energy at the Muscat Children's Museum, Times of Oman has reported. The experiment kits teach children about capturing energy and using it, the importance of renewable energies like solar, wind and tidal energy, and the reduction of environmental impact of energy use. "We hope to inspire children to become engineers," said Markus Strohmeier, CEO of Siemens Oman.
