Saudia will be the first carrier to implement the new generation solution and is working in close cooperation with Amadeus to roll out the Amadeus Passenger Revenue Accounting solution in early 2013.
Advice on specific Saudi laws was given by Simmons & Simmons' alliance law firm in Saudi Arabia, Hammad & Al-Mehdar.
The Simmons & Simmons team was led by Information, Communications and Technology partner Alexander Shepherd, assisted by Managing Associate Raza Rizvi.
Commenting on the transaction, Alexander Shepherd said: "With the expansion of Gulf carriers, we are seeing a growing requirement for sophisticated software and technology agreements amongst airlines. We are well-placed to advise on these kind of transactions as we have a dedicated Information, Communications and Technology team in the region with specific aviation sector expertise."
