SNR Denton enters into association in Kuwait with Jamal Al-Shehab and partners

SNR Denton has entered into a new association in Kuwait with Jamal Ahmed Al-Shehab, who is returning to private practice after his recent retirement from Government. The firm will be known as The Law Office of Al-Shehab and partners in association with SNR Denton.
Stuart Cavet, SNR Denton's Kuwait Managing Partner, said, "The legal expertise, combined with the in-depth knowledge of the local market, that Jamal Al-Shehab brings to SNR Denton will enable us to take full advantage of the opportunities in this growing market."
Matthew Jones, EMEA CEO, at SNR Denton, commented, "The Middle East is a very important market for the firm, given its strategic location and resilient economies. SNR Denton opened its office in Kuwait City in 2008 and the association with The Law Office of Jamal Ahmed Al-Shehab &partners will service clients on a range of matters including energy, infrastructure and project finance, corporate and commercial transactions, litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution in Kuwait.
The firm has had a constant presence in the Middle East for more than 40 years and currently has 10 offices in nine countries in the region, with more than 110 lawyers and legal staff.
Commenting on the ending of SNR Denton's existing association with local firm International Legal Group (ILG), Cavet said, "We thank ILG for their support and collaboration over the past five years. We wish our former colleagues there all the best for the future. Meanwhile, there are a number of ongoing matters on which we will continue to work together."
