Sony's Cyber-shot WX170 packs high performance features into sleek and stylish package

With high-powered optics, a 3.0-inch wide high-resolution touchscreen, a slim profile and two colour options, the WX170 is the perfect choice for style-savvy photographers.

The WX170 takes full advantage of Sony's ultra-slim "AA" (Advanced Aspherical) lens to fit a 10x optical zoom G lens into a camera that is just 17.6 mm thin. Matched with the Sony proprietary 18.2 megapixel (effective) Exmor R CMOS image sensor and BIONZ image processing engine that captures clear images even in low-light environments, as well as Clear Image Zoom technology for sharp 20x total magnification, the result is inevitable: startlingly vivid photos that rival the performance of more expensive cameras.

In addition, Optical Steady Shot, Sony's proprietary image stabilisation technology for still image shooting assists the class-leading AF to produce beautifully sharp photos and movies even at long focal lengths and dimly lit scenes.
Focusing is easier and more intuitive than ever, thanks to the new 921,600-dot 3.0-inch XtraFine LCD touchscreen and high speed AF system.

The WX170 is also able to record videos in Full HD (1920 x 1080, 60i/50i). With 10 shooting modes that include 14 Scene Selections, nine different Picture Effects, Intelligent Sweep Panorama and 3D still photo shooting, camera lovers can tailor their shooting style in many ways.
