Sorbonne Abu Dhabi participates in first-ever Abu Dhabi Corporate Games 2012

Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi announced its participation in the inauguralAbu Dhabi Corporate Games 2012 taking place at Zayed Sports City, Abu Dhabi from21 - 24 November 2012. This multi-sport event involves university students, professional and amateur athletes together with sports enthusiasts working across a spectrum of industries in the capital.
The Abu Dhabi Corporate Games will feature 18 sports including badminton, basketball, beach soccer, beach volleyball, cricket, dragon boat, golf, karting, netball, padel, running, shooting, soccer, table tennis, tennis, ten pin bowling, touch rugby and volleyball. With 150 companies and organisations expected to compete, the three-day event will create a lot of excitement and sports champions. This year, Sorbonne-Abu Dhabi will have a total of 110 participants who have registered to compete in badminton, beach volleyball, basketball, dragon boat, golf, karting, soccer, shooting,table tennis and tennis, out of which 72 are male participants. The38 female participants will compete in beach volleyball, indoor soccer, basketball, shooting and tennis.
Prof. Dr. Eric Fouache, Vice-Chancellor of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi said, "The Abu Dhabi Corporate Games is an excellent concept and we aredelighted to participate in this highly-anticipated event. At Sorbonne Abu Dhabi, we have highly skilled students both on and off the sports field and it's a great event for our students and faculty members to get out of the classroom and display their passion for sports. In addition to the competitive spirit and solidarity of the Corporate Games, it isalso an ideal occasion for our students to mingle with inspiring employees of Abu Dhabi's mostprominentcorporate entities and discover common passions outside of their usual environment.
