Spinneys opens a new branch in Byblos and offers 200 job opportunities

The company's eighth branch in Lebanon was inaugurated in the presence of a number of Municipal officials in the region, in addition to media representatives, journalists, branch staff, and Spinneys' management. The new branch offers a unique experience for shoppers in Byblos and its surrounding areas.

Mr Michael Wright, CEO of Spinneys group , welcomed the guests with an opening speech in which he stated: "We are unremitting in our faith in Lebanon's economic future; and our expansion today with this 8th branch is a proof of our contribution in developing the labour market and creating 200 job vacancies, in addition to the 1500 already filled at Spinneys Lebanon."

Mr Wright added: "The reason for our success in Lebanon is our clientele who appreciate the services and prices we offer, and the positive contributions we have provided to the community which graciously gave us a chance to succeed in Lebanon for 14 years, since 1998".

The new branch covers an area of 3000 square meters, with a parking space capacity for 300 cars. The branch aims at catering to the residents extending from Adma in the Kesrouan region to Batroun.

This sets the new branch as a key branch that provides a holistic shopping experience to include household products, kitchen supplies, in addition to all kinds of fresh food including meat, fish, vegetables and fruits, as well as the bakery and catering to other necessities and requirements.

The shopping distinction is manifest through the easy-to-navigate sections, saving time and energy; customers will not find themselves waiting in the aisles to complete their purchases. The company began its operations in Lebanon in 1948. The company re-opened in 1998 with its Dbayeh branch, after which new branches followed and now cover all of the Lebanese regions. Spinneys Supermarket is also present in Egypt, Jordan, UAE and Qatar.

Spinneys is currently working on a regional expansion plan to further root its presence in Lebanon, Egypt and Qatar, and is opening new branches in under-developed markets in the Middle East, North Africa and beyond.
