STC: More than 2500 sites covered with 4G in Saudi Arabia

STC deployed 4G high speed network, in a bid to raise the efficiency of its mobile networks, continuing its success story by providing 4G LTE services.

The total number of sites that STC covers with 4G LTE reached more of 2500 sites in the various regions of the Kingdom.

STC currently works to cover 90% of the Kingdom's area with 4G technology by the end of 2014.

The total number of sites covered with the high speed Internet (42Mbps) 3G network reached more than 6700 sites across the Kingdom.

As for FTTH, STC witnessed a remarkable rise in national coverage, as total areas covered with FTTH reached more than 1600 sites across the Kingdom.

Additionally, total interconnections implemented by STC throughout the Kingdom rose to more than 630,000 interconnections, raising total number of subscribers by 722% during Q3 of 2012, as STC plans to link more than 1.5 million sites by the end of 2014, whereas many cities and areas have been interconnected by FTTH with total reach exceeding 300,000 km.

STC continues to develop its integrated infrastructure that sustains its network operational efficiency by committing to providing the latest 4G broadband services, in addition to 3G, and high-speed 3G (42Mbps), FTTH, and high speed (VDSL).

The company operates more than 90% of data traffic in the Kingdom. These modern networks feature their unique capability of supporting TV and video conferencing applications over the Internet.
