STC passes more than 3,000 TB of data leading region's broadband data traffic

STC network recorded the region's top broadband data traffic volume, as it passed 3,000 TB due to wide-spanned high-speed and qualitative FDD and TDD 4G networks that extend to all Saudi regions.
STC views the current and next phases as eras for sustaining a better competitive edge to remain in the driving seat as the first 4G network operator in the region and to further roll out its network by the end of 2014 to 95% of Saudi populated areas to keep up with future expansion, raise performance and productivity as 4G LTD has become one of the promising 4G network technologies planned for smart phones provided by STC.
In addition, STC realized a phenomenal fiber optical coverage totaling more than 2,700 sites all over the Kingdom.
The aggregate fiber optics interconnections rose to more than 650,000 residences and businesses who benefited from FTTX and its high-speed broadband connection, quick browsing and downloading and access to multiplay applications that support the smart homes requirements, e-learning applications together with the Interactive TV (Invision), IPTV, Video-on-Demand (VoD), entertainment services and modern social media.
