STC records 531% increase in fiber to home 'FTTH' customers

STC hit a new record in the number of 'FTTH' customers with an increase of 531% during the first quarter 2013.

This marks an increase of 35% as compared to the last quarter of 2012.

The company believes that the real investment in telecommunication services lies in delivering high speed, quality data services of up to 200 Mbps that enables customers to benefit from integrated telecom services' solutions, at the lowest cost.

STC upholds its commitment, to offer the latest technical solutions by focusing on modern infrastructure and solutions like 'FTTH' network.

The demand of broadband services has increased significantly in recent times, as compared to last years, especially, after the strong governmental support for the high technology projects that require a sound digital structure. This becomes all the more important after the move to e-government transactions, in most of the government procedures.

In this respect, STC is marching forward, as the leader of this new era of broadband, by deploying the biggest fiber network in the Gulf region. This will result in more than half a million households connected with 'FTTH' technology, and at the offset, it attracted more than 100 thousand customer in the kingdom alone.

STC has signed a number of contracts and agreements, to build and develop, the fiber infrastructure, for hyper developmental projects, in different places in the kingdom, which support STC direction, to promote its advanced services, innovative ideas based on quality, speed and ideal customer service.
