The Stonehage Group, the only holistic multi-family office for ultra-high-net-worth families, announced the opening of its MENA representative office in Dubai. It will be headed by Brian Williams, Director of Family Office development for the region.

Prior to joining Stonehage, Brian worked for Royal Bank of Canada in Dubai following its acquisition of Mourant Private Wealth, developing its markets both within the UK and the Middle East and overseeing the opening of the firm's Dubai office in 2005.

His connection with the region began in 1986 when he was appointed Senior Private Banking Manager with responsibility for Middle East operations at ANZ Grindlays Bank. Brian began his career with Lloyds Bank in the UK and Jersey.

Ian Crosby, Executive Director of Stonehage said: "Brian has twenty five years' experience in the Middle East and brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the region and its culture. We are looking forward to his valuable contribution to the development of our business. There are strong links between the UK and this area. We see the strength of our multi-disciplinary family office platform of fiduciary, property, reporting and art management as being particularly relevant to clients with interests spanning these key jurisdictions."
