Moonwalk Inc. now joins StorIT's leading portfolio of vendors, which includes EMC, Quantum, Mellanox and QLogic.
"Entering into this strategic new alliance with Moonwalk Inc. gives us the advantage of offering a unique product that addresses the need to manage complex, data management through the tiers of storage and is comparatively economical as it is a software only solution," said Bobby Joseph, CEO, StorIT. "Our participation at this year's edition of Gitex is made more fruitful with the signing of this new distributor agreement, which ably reflects our continuing move to partner with leading engaging brands and help strenghten our leadership across the MENA data storage segment. We remain confident and look forward to the positive results of this partnership with Moonwalk."
Moonwalk software delivers file system metadata-level precision for file data. It proactively migrates, copies and moves data according to user-defined rules and policies based on criteria such as age, size, file type, file name, file creator and many more. Its stateless architecture requires no additional overhead and is transparent to users and applications, with no introduced points of potential failure to ensure maximum performance and availability. The company's signature line of solutions operates across major file systems like Windows, NFS, Linux, Novell and NetApp.
"Over the last few months, we have seen vendors turning to our key range of solutions as an essential component for their storage offerings. Our tie-up with StorIT will now allow them to provide its customers with an additional immediate turnkey solution for managing the migration, copying and movement of data while also minimizing expenditure. With this new partnership, StorIT will now be able to form the core of its 100 per cent channel approach. In return, the company will usher Moonwalk into a totally different sphere, both in scale and reach as StorIT remains a large distributor in the data storage category that covers key industry sectors in the MENA region that we have not yet reached," concluded Peter Harvey, CEO, Moonwalk Inc.
