Submission period for BMW's first Journalism Competition starts on October 15th

Abu Khader Automotive, the official importer for BMW Group in Jordan has announced that the articles' submission period for the "BMW Journalism Competition, Write to Win" will start on October 15th and end of November 20th 2012.

The "BMW Journalism Competition, Write to Win" was launched on September 15th; the first of its kind competition in Jordan is open to university students, fresh graduates and anyone with a passion for cars and writing, and aged between 18-23. Articles need to be submitted in either Arabic or English, and should not exceed 500 words under the theme "How will the future development of technology affect the experience of driving?"

The competition aims at giving local Jordanian youth the chance to express their passion for cars in a literary well researched manner bringing out the creativity in them and assisting them to take the first step on a possible career path.

The judging panel includes industry specialists: Mirza Hatak, Editor in Chief of Torque Magazine; Mohammed Zaro, Automotive Editor of Al Ghad Newspaper; who are going to assist the participants in writing their articles by providing valuable insights and journalism writing tips on the BMW Jordan Facebook page. As part of their commitment to encouraging youth writers our judges are also available to reply to participant's Facebook inquiries regarding the competition.

The judges will base their reviews on the following criteria: creativity, article structure, use of grammar, choice of topic, research and inclusion of factual information.

Writers of the winning articles will win valuable prizes that include a test drive experience of the latest BMW models and a one week internship experience in the BMW Group Regional Office Communication Division in Dubai. Moreover, the winner will get his/her article published in Torque magazine, Al Ghad newspaper and the BMW magazine which gets distributed to BMW customers across the Middle East.
