- Oman: Monday, April 30 - 2012 at 10:19
Oman's Sohar Sulphur Fertilisers is set to launch next month its sulphur bentonite fertiliser plant at Sohar Industrial Estate, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The 30,000 tonnes-per-annum facility will process sulphur, a by-product of the crude refining process, into sulphur bentonite fertiliser, a micronutrient used extensively around the world to help fortify sulphur-deficient soils. Sohar Sulphur Fertilisers is 55% owned by Takamul Investment, while the investment arm of Oman's Al Nahdha Group, Awtad Projects and Development holds a 25% in the venture. The balance is held by US-based CoreSulphur.
