Sunil Prabhakar appointed Chief Executive Officer of Travel Group

Known for reliability and "getting the work done" through persistence and strong work ethic, Mr. Prabhakar is a highly motivated, creative and versatile individual in the Travel Industry with more than 27 years of experience in Oman.

He is a pragmatic and consultative team builder with wide organizational experience under various capacities ranging from travel agency & leisure operations, product sourcing & contracting, sales & marketing, advertising (conceptualizing, designing & communicating), inbound & outbound tour operations, offline airline GSA operations. He personally maintains a keen interest in IT and its usage to leverage self-potential maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the company.

In 2008, he took over the reigns as Group General Manager of the company from where he continued to achieve one milestone after another and in only 4 years time enhances the business network from only 2 branches, to 38 fully operational branches spread across the whole Sultanate of Oman today. The company has augmented from only a 9 member workforce to a team of over 200 efficient and skilled personnel, dedicated towards delivering travel products and services par excellence.

With a dynamic go-getter personality such as his, Mr. Sunil Prabhakar, currently heads the Travel Consortium comprising Travel City and Travel Point LLC and Al Araimi Travel & Cargo LLC. Travel City LLC & Al Araimi Travel & Cargo LLC are IATA (International Air Transport Association) approved Passenger Sales Agents. Travel Point LLC represents all other travel solutions such as international product franchises, high quality leisure & hospitality products.

Al Eman is the exclusive division for Religious Tours where customers are offered complete Sharia friendly packages for pilgrimages like Hajj, Umrah and Ziyarah. Tour Oman is the In-bound Tours division which specializes in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions). Vacations is the Outbound Leisure Travel division which offers a variety of holiday packages catering to diverse requirements and offering tailor-made holidays to customers.

TP Cargo, the cargo division provides a comprehensive range of services that covers every aspect of cargo management handling services. Arabia Cars is the Car Rentals division, which has at its disposal a diverse fleet of over 1000 vehicles that cater to corporate leasing and spot rentals.

Medicare Tourism is the Medical and Wellness Travel division which renders 'cost effective' private medical care in collaboration with the tourism industry for patients needing surgical and other forms of specialized treatment, worldwide. It offers special Spa & Wellness Packages for perfect relaxation.

The company is also proud of its sole agency representation of Travel Management Partners - Global Star, Travelport Galileo, FAI - FAI rent-a-jet AG (Flight Ambulance International, flydubai and Thomas Cook. The latest feathers in the cap are the appointment as GSA & GSSA for Pakistan International Airlines and the joint venture with Big Bus Tours.
