Supreme Council of Energy organizes training workshop for young Emirati volunteers

"You are all aware that the World Energy Forum selected Dubai to host this year's Forum under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, based on the Emirate's leading position as a global centre for finance, trade, tourism and global conferences that benefit mankind as a whole, in addition to the safe and secure environment the UAE enjoys, its leading initiatives in sustainability, and its leadership's unwavering commitment and support," said Al Tayer, addressing the volunteers.

"Your volunteering with us for the Forum is a valuable opportunity for you to gain experience and skills on a global level through direct contact and dealing with distinguished delegates attending the Forum. They are the leaders and heads of state and government and business leaders who represent different nationalities and cultures and traditions and a wide spectrum around the world. You will benefit greatly from this important experience," said Al Tayer, who also thanked Al Kamda and the team that helped in encouraging the volunteer's involvement.

Al Kamda also stressed the importance of volunteerism and putting in all the necessary efforts to make the World Energy Forum a success that reflects positively on the UAE's image.

Dr Al Akraf inducted the volunteers and introduced them to the various arrangements that are in place to host delegations. Dr. Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Etiquette and Protocol Specialist, talked the volunteers about upholding etiquette and protocol when dealing with a delegation.
