Susanna Yong and Reem Abu Zuri join Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi

Ms Yong joins the Qaryat Al Beri complex from Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, where she held a similar position for four years.

Previously, she held similar roles at Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya as well as Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa, Kota Kinabalu.

Ms Yong, of Malaysian origin, has worked with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts for 14 years and has an extensive hospitality experience in the fields of sales and marketing management, and food and beverage operations.

She holds a diploma in travel and tourism from the Hales Institute in Melbourne and a certificate in business management from The Australian Academy of Business.

Ms Abu Zuhri joins Qaryat Al Beri from a five-star luxury property in Dubai, where she held the position of assistant director of sales and marketing. She previously held the position of director of sales at a luxury property in Doha, following a six-year hospitality career from various five-star properties in London.

A Jordan-born British national, Ms Abu Zuhri brings a wealth of sales and marketing management experience gained in the United Kingdom and the Middle East. She holds a business management degree from Birkbeck College, University of London.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently owns and/or manages 78 hotels under the Shangri-La, Kerry and Traders brands with a room inventory of over 32,000. Shangri-La hotels are five-star deluxe properties featuring extensive luxury facilities and services.
