Ahead of the 4th Annual Sustainable Materials and Construction Technologies conference in Dubai, SAS International Director, Andrew Jackson points out that green building practices incorporating sustainable, long lifespan products into a building is the key to reducing the ongoing operational costs.

Jackson commented, "As the triple bottom line becomes ever more important to corporations and individual's demand for environmentally friendly spaces grows, the pressure on developers and owners in the GCC to build green buildings continues to increase."

"Modern tenant expectations combined with major government initiatives look sure to change the building landscape from one of temporary inefficiency to the more long-term, sustainable buildings of the future," he added.

SAS International's interior systems exceed the design specs for green building throughout the region.

But more importantly projects demand long term value of any product balanced with environmental credentials which metal ceiling systems can answer as they have a lifespan in excess of 30 years.

Once installed, metal ceiling products offer an inert and inherently hardwearing surface, making them both hygienic and a low-maintenance option and suspended ceiling solutions provide ease of access for maintenance of integrated building systems with minimal downtime which are all key contributors to a healthy bottom line.
