The hospital consists of 175 beds, inpatient facilities including a dedicated 30 bed ICU, 8 Operating Theatres, emergency department, rehabilitation department and a teaching centre. Sweett Group is managing the design development process, construction, commissioning, delivery and handover, whilst working with the Operator to achieve an optimal clinical and nonclinical model with an expected commencement of construction on site in the second quarter of 2013.

The Sharjah hospital project is Sweett Group's third major commission on behalf of KBZF, having already supported the organisation in the delivery of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Specialised Hospital in Casablanca, Kingdom of Morocco, currently under construction.
