Sweett Group establishes presence in Qatar

Sweett Group, the international property and infrastructure consultancy, is delighted to announce that it is strengthening its service offering and reach further across the Middle East through the establishment of its registration in Qatar.

The launch of the Group's presence in Doha was marked with a special reception attended by H.H. Sheikh Jassim bin Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani and H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani, members of the Qatari royal family, as well as H.E. Juma'a Saif Al-Dhahiri, the UAE Ambassador to Qatar and Mohammed Mahdi Al Ahbabi, Board Member of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Martin Hadnutt, Deputy Managing Director, MEAI, said: "We are delighted to be investing in the further development of our presence across the GCC and in particular in Qatar, where we anticipate significant increases in foreign direct investment as well sustained levels of domestic infrastructure expenditure. Sweett Group has a long history of working across the Middle East, having been involved with projects in the region for more than a decade and today employing over 120 staff across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon, Morocco and Egypt. The Group's current portfolio of commissions includes providing cost and project management services on a diversified range of sectors.

One of Sweett Group's largest commissions in the region is the Capital Market Authority (CMA) Tower which won Best Tower Project in Saudi Arabia at the reputed Construction Week Saudi awards.

The Group has also been recognised at the GCC level where it was 'highly commended' for a number of categories which included Consultant of the Year and Project Manager of the Year.
