Tamkeen supports participation of 18 productive Bahraini families in Autumn Fair 2013

As part of its efforts to develop the capabilities of Bahrainis and private sector enterprises in Bahrain, Tamkeen, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development, supported the participation of 18 productive family enterprises in the Autumn Fair 2013, currently held at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center.
Fatima Al-Sultan, a participating exhibitor whose business makes traditional pickled foods, said, "I have been a regular participant in this annual event for the past 2 years. The Autumn Fair provides me with the opportunity to promote the products of productive Bahraini families which draw great interest from the visitors."
Aneesa Al'Aali, another exhibitor specialising in flour and spices, commented, "I believe this fair is one that provides tangible benefits through our participation. It allows us to reach new customers and increase our sales. The support offered by Tamkeen and the Ministry of Social Development also further maximises the benefit we gain from our participation."
In addition to the support provided to productive family enterprises, Tamkeen has also supported 57 SMEs. In total, around BD90,000 was provided to enable enterprises to participate in the fair.
More than 66,000 Bahraini individuals and enterprises have benefited from Tamkeen programmes to date. The total number of beneficiaries is expected to reach more than 100,000.
