Tasdeer of QDB supports Qatari electrical products exports at Middle East Electricity

Qatar Development Bank's export development agency, Tasdeer, is set to partake in the upcoming Middle East Electricity which will be held in Dubai, UAE on February 17-19, 2013 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler, the Middle East Electricity is the largest meeting place for energy industry professionals from over 100 countries worldwide.

Qatar International Cables Company (QICC) and Al Shams Advanced Lighting Technologies are leading electrical products' exporters from Qatar which have confirmed their presence at the exhibition.

The exhibition will serve as a strong platform for these exhibitors who will get the opportunity to discover the latest technologies and innovation, learn from world-renowned experts through free technical seminars, network with over 15,000 attendees and do business with the biggest names in the global sector.

Mr. Mansour Bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud, Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Development Bank, said, "Tasdeer continues to provide considerable opportunities for Qatari non-oil exporters in line with its strategy to further contribute to the development of the industry. Since inception, Tasdeer launched a number of significant initiatives and participated at numerous exhibitions as part of its tactical approach towards growing the export industry in Qatar."

Mr. Hassan Khalifa Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Qatar Export Development Agency 'Tasdeer', said, "The Middle East Electricity 2013 exhibition will serve as a great platform to network and establish business links with companies specializing in power, water, nuclear and renewable resources of energy. Additionally, our Qatari exporters will be able to gain key knowledge about prevailing market trends in the electricity sector." Qatar International Cables Company (QICC) is one of the leading cables' manufacturers in the Middle East with headquarters in Qatar. QICC is a joint venture created by Nexans. The company boasts a state-of-the-art production facility. It adds high-quality, high-volume local manufacturing capability to the effective engineering, sales and customer support services already established in the GCC region.

Al Shams Advanced Lighting Technologies specializes in the manufacturing of high intensity discharge lamps and other lighting products. The South Korean company Tae Yang Electronics Company is the technology provider. The products are tested and certified by world-renowned testing and certification laboratory KEMA, ERDA.
