Technip appoints Vaseem Khan as Senior Vice President of Technip in Middle East and Managing Director in Abu Dhabi

Vaseem Khan was appointed Senior Vice President of Technip in the Middle East and Managing Director of Technip in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on January 15th, 2013. In his new position, he succeeds Arturo Grimaldi, who has taken on a corporate position in Paris, France.
Vaseem Khan was born in London and educated in the UK and the US.
He joined Technip's operating center in Abu Dhabi in 2003 where he was responsible for a number of offshore and onshore projects before being appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2009, with the creation of Technip's Middle East Region.
Prior to 2003, Vaseem Khan was Corporate Project Manager at the British chemical company ICI, and also held various positions in projects related to the oil and gas, petrochemical and fertilizer industries in Europe, North America and Asia.
Vaseem Khan commented, "I am very excited to take on this leading role as Technip in the Middle East has a diversified subsea, offshore and onshore projects portfolio. With a presence in Abu Dhabi for the past thirty years, Technip has participated in a number of prestigious UAE oil and gas awards.
