Techno Q gives recognition to wholesale partners

Techno Q in cooperation with Philips Lighting, its channel partner for Qatar, hosted an event in recognition of their electrical wholesale market partners.

The 'Wholesalers Meet' event is hosted annually by Techno Q and Philips Lighting to acknowledge the leading hypermarket branches and electrical shop outlets that have been driving up sales of consumer lighting product ranges, such as LEDs, fluorescent lamps, halogen lamps, incandescent lamps and electronic lighting controls.

The Achievement award 2012 for 1st place in the electrical shop category for highest sales turnover, best display and best product mix was presented to Ideal Trading Co. W.L.L., while 2nd and 3rd places went to Mubarak Bin Ayash Al Mansoori and El Shameel Group Ltd. (Barwa Branch) respectively.

In the hypermarket category, the Award for 1st place was given to Lulu Hypermarket (Airport Branch), it being the leading branch in terms of highest sales turnover, best displays and best product mix.

Hassan Harb, Techno Q Lighting Division Manager, pointed out, however, that all their electrical and hypermarket wholesale market partners had done well this past year, and that everyone was a winner. "The market demand for Philips general lighting products has sharply accelerated locally and we have witnessed significant growth in sales for the past year. It is evident that the continuing phase-out of incandescent light bulbs and the increased focus on energy efficiency is set to accelerate growth of the LED segment in the near future," he concluded.
