Mohamed Elnawawy, Telecom Egypt's acting CEO of Telecom Egypt, has said the country's landline monopoly remains confident of riding out Egypt's protracted economic slump as the country's vast and young population continues to fuel its data and internet business, Zawya Dow Jones has reported. "The telecom market is a strong self-sustaining expansive market empowered by a very young society," said Elnawawy. "Telecom is something that is clearly needed by everybody. The market is growing and adding new users and new homes."
