Dubai-based Al Wasl Properties has ruled out plans to extend the deadline given to residents of the Rashid Colony in Karama, which is due to be demolished soon, Gulf News has reported. The residents of the three-decade-old residential complex were given a deadline of June 30 to vacate the property, 70% of whom have adhered to. Abdulla Ishaq, head of leasing and customer service department at Al Wasl, said the eviction order comes from the Dubai municipality and tenants who do not comply with the eviction order will have to face legal consequences.
