Tetra Pak and Swedish Embassy join to celebrate Domty as the Biggest White Cheese Producer in World in Tetra Pak

The Swedish embassy in Cairo in cooperation with Tetra Pak Egypt hosted an event to announce Domty as the biggest white cheese producer in the world in Tetra Pak with over 200million package production yearly.
The was followed by a lunch hosted by H.E. Ms. Malin Kärre, Sweden's Ambassador to Egypt, and attended by Tetra Pak Egypt's upper management.
"Swedish-Egyptian cooperation and business has lasted over time and included many different sectors, and it is very consumer-oriented for the benefit of the Egyptian individual," mentioned H.E. Ms. Malin Kärre Sweden's Ambassador to Egypt.
"Tetra Pak's new filling line technologies have helped us increase our daily production capacity from 90 tons in 2011 to 180 tons in 2012. This impacted positively Egypt's food production capacity and exports, as well as helped boost Egypt's economy," said Eng. Omar El Damaty.
•Domty's total investment in food processing and packaging equipment from Tetra Pak in 2012 is $10.5m.
•This investment created 800 new jobs
•With production capacity of 200 tons per day.
He added, "We are planning to launch our milk brand and to introduce high quality milk to the Egyptian market and diversify Domty's portfolio. This will also increase plant capacity to exceed 1,000 tons per day before end of 2013. This growth is a result of our long-term partnership with Tetra Pak Egypt."
Commenting on the reasons behind Domty's success, Anders Lindgren, Managing Director Tetra Pak Egypt stated, "In 2012, Domty managed to launch new sizes and flavors to the Egyptian market, and was the first in the world to pack cheese in Tetra Brik Aseptic 80ml. Also Domty was the first in Egypt to deploy the A3 Compact Flex lines."
"This is the natural outcome of the strong partnership between Tetra Pak Egypt and Domty Group. We feel that Domty Group has great potential and this new investment shows trust in the Egyptian economy," said Anders Lindgren, Tetra Pak Egypt's Managing Director.
