Over 110 associates from Jebel Ali Golf Resort and Oasis Beach Tower took to the beach earlier this week to do their part in the 'Clean up the World' campaign, one of the largest worldwide volunteer projects, actively supported over the past 15 years by Dubai Municipality.

Oasis Beach Tower, located on 'The Walk' at Dubai Marina, looks out over the Arabian Gulf and Palm Jumeirah, whilst Jebel Ali Golf Resort is the award-winning beach property set 15 minutes outside of Dubai.

The tower and resort are managed by locally-based hotel company, JA Resorts & Hotels who have a strong environmental policy across their diverse portfolio of properties.

As part of the initiative, the hard working group managed to clear 150 bags containing over 230kg of rubbish and litter in a total of just 5 hours.

JA Resorts & Hotels is dedicated to looking after the environment and runs many of their own initiatives including paper recycling, can collecting and monitoring water wastage at each of their properties.

William Harley-Fleming, General Manager of Oasis Beach Tower, said, "Taking part in such a fantastic and worthwhile project is the least we can do to lend our support. We're delighted that so many associates joined in with the clean-up and everyone contributed towards its success. Looking after the environment is a 365-day a year commitment at the tower, and we are always looking to do our bit."

Fredrik Reinisch, General Manager of Jebel Ali Golf Resort explained the group's perspective, "At JA Resorts & Hotels, we recognise the importance of socially responsible activities and the significance of protecting and enhancing the environment for future generations. Our practices go deep into the roots of the company, and the ethos of JA Resorts & Hotels, is to be the change we want to see in the world, regardless of how small our impact is, we still aim to make a positive difference."
