Third Social Entrepreneurship Get Together workshop 'segt' hosts Ghassan Nuqul among its key note speakers

Organized by the NGO Takaful and entitled 'Social Entrepreneurship in Jordan', the Vice Chairman of Nuqul Group- Ghassan Nuqul, recently participated in the latest Social Entrepreneurship Get Together (SEGT III) event that was held at the Hussein Cultural Center in the presence of young Jordanian entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations and innovative social innovators.
Mr. Ghassan Nuqul's opening session focused on the importance of social entrepreneurship, its criteria, main developments in the Arab region and the role of different entities such as the private sector, the media and educational institutions.
The presentation covered two case studies implemented by Nuqul Group, namely the CSR programme in the adopted Al Koura District and Elia Nuqul Foundation, the specialized philanthropic arm of Nuqul's family offering scholarships and social entrepreneurship programmes for Jordanian students.
On this occasion the Vice Chairman of Nuqul Group, Ghassan Nuqul, commented, "Social entrepreneurship is a topic that is close to my heart and is definitely an area of interest that leads to impactful results. I have been personally involved in this field, advocating best practices and developments across different fronts. On a corporate level, we as Nuqul Group and Elia Nuqul Foundation have dedicated our efforts to contribute to social entrepreneurship and our programmes are witnessing considerable positive change reaching our communities."
Nuqul added, "Jordan needs more similar activities and our young entrepreneurs need all the support to distinguish themselves. Today's session reflected the ambitious vision of our youth and I am proud to see powerful programmes and initiatives."
The CEO of Takaful, Saeed Omar, thanked Ghassan Nuqul for his participation and confirmed the continuity of the SEGT's workshop in the future. The event also hosted Ms. Rana Turk who shed light on the IYF's major programmes followed by Ms. Maali Qasem, an advisor in the field of CSR, who interacted with the audience and discussed with them major challenges and solutions.
