Thousands attend events at Katara this month

Reinforcing its commitment to Qatar's community and the Arab world, Katara, the Cultural Village welcomed thousands of visitors this month. Key milestones included the Artist Talk and Residency Program by Encounter: The Royal Academy in the Middle East, artist, Lisa Milroy as well as the opening of Magnum 65 exhibition and Magida Al Roumi concert.
Next week marks yet another exciting event as Katara presents the second Artist Talk and Residency Program by Encounter: The Royal Academy in the Middle East, artist, Richard Deacon.
The Artist Talk which begins on 4th February at 6:00pm at Katara Building 15 will be open to the public, while the Residency Program will commence on 5th February and run until 9th February in Katara Art Studios, Building 19.
The Artist Talk will comprise of a conversation session between artists featured in Encounter: The Royal Academy in the Middle East, Richard Deacon and Qatari Artists Faraj Daham and Mubarak Al Malik, as well as Katara's Curator, Sa'id Costa.
This event is one of several events planned for February at Katara. Other events in upcoming weeks include the celebration of the National Sports Day.
Katara continues to host exciting events which see thousands gather in the cultural hub to enjoy a plethora of activities from arts and culture across the world.
