Tilal Liwa Hotel initiates tree planting campaign

As part of its commitment to sustainability, the management and staff of Tilal Liwa Hotel, a secluded hideaway leisure resort perched on the edge of Rub Al Khali Desert, have embarked on a tree planting campaign that will involve planting of more than 2,000 trees around the property and the community.

Led by Ayman Ashor, General Manager, Tilal Liwa Hotel, the tree planting campaign is geared at raising the community's environmental awareness along with educating students on the importance of trees to the environment and to protect our health and of the next generations.

Ashor said: "This environmental campaign and initiative are part of Tilal Liwa Hotel's commitment to provide the community of Madinat Zayed, Al Gharbia with a sustainable future. I am sure our small effort will make a lasting impression in making sure that we have and will continue to have the resources to protect human health and our environment. We are planning to involve a number of community partners like schools, private and government organizations to support this activity."

He added: "Tilal Liwa Hotel is committed to support and contribute to the fulfillment of the leaders of UAE's vision to plant trees across the country. Through this initiative, we hope that we were able to reach the community and increase awareness on the importance of planting trees to maintain a sustainable environment and a greener United Arab Emirates."
