Toshiba Gulf has rolled out a special scheme to encourage users in the Middle East upgrade to Microsoft's Windows 8 Pro, Times of Oman has reported. Under the terms of the offer, Toshiba will refund the upgrade cost on purchases of Toshiba laptops between July 22 and November 30, 2012. Users who purchase a Toshiba Windows 7 PC with an Approved for Sale in the Middle East sticker from July 22 to November 30 should keep the sales receipt ready for their Windows 8 Pro upgrade on the launch day, said Santosh Varghese, the general manager of Toshiba Gulf Computer System Division. Upon successful OS upgrade, users need to present the sales receipt, along with the Windows 8 Upgrade Offer receipt to Toshiba approved reimbursement centres to claim a full refund, Varghese added.
