Toshiba has said it is on track to boost its sales in the region in digital and electronics segment from $800m to $1bn in the current fiscal ending March 2013 in the wake of its foray into new markets, Khaleej Times has reported. The sales growth, which has been consistent for the past nine years but for in 2009, is supported by brisk PC sales and soft infrastructure sales across the region, said Yasuyoshi Matsunaga, Toshiba's Corporate Representative in the Middle East Africa region and President of Toshiba Gulf. Toshiba PCs enjoy a 22.5% share across all markets in the region, with Saudi Arabia and Jordan boasting over 30% and 41% share, respectively, he said. "In the UAE, Toshiba PCs account for nearly 19% of the market share," he said.
