Toshiba unveils Qosmio X870 laptop

The 2.5-inch (6.4 cm) hybrid drive provides fast Solid State Drive (SSD)-like performance with the high capacity of a hard disk drive (HDD). The Qosmio X870 will be available in Solid State Hybrid 8G Drive with 1TB. This, combined with 8GB of NAND flash, make it ideal for the Qosmio X870 to deliver high performance.

Powered by the Intel Quad Core processor, the X870 delivers incredible performance and vibrant visuals boosted by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670M with CUDATM Technology.

A hybrid drive combines the dual platter magnetic storage of an HDD with NAND cache. The HDD platters provide high capacity storage and the integration of NAND flash increases the read/write speeds, enhancing the overall performance of the Qosmio X870.

As a result, the Qosmio X870 not only delivers approximately three times faster (*) read and write times than those of its current model but it also reduces the applications' boot time. Users can use the model comfortably and stress-free when starting up games or storing large data like video content.

Loaded with Genuine Windows 8, the X870 is equipped with up to 32GB RAM and ultra speedy Hybrid Hard Drive options that allow you up to 2TB of on-board storage. It also features high-speed connectivity with gigabit Ethernet and wireless capabilities for faster upload/download, LAN gaming and faster transfer speeds with its USB 3.0 ports.

The Qosmio X870 comes with a 3D-enabled Full HD 43.9cm (17.3-inch) display supporting the latest NVIDIA 3D Vision active shutter glasses.
