The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) launched a website about its participation in the Gitex Technology Week. The website www.tra-gitex.ae contains essential information for visitors and media; such as location, agenda, list of federal partners and useful resources on the eGovernment programme in the UAE.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) will be participating with eight federal entities in addition to Mohammed bin Rashid Smart Learning Initiative at the unified platform of the UAE federal eGovernment.

The UAE federal eGovernment is participating in the Gitex Technology Week with the aim to spread awareness about the ease and efficiency of their eServices and encourage more people to use them.

The participating entities will launch a number of new initiatives and services that would facilitate the access of individuals and institutions to government services in the UAE. The joint participation also aims at providing a channel of direct communication between the visitors and the entities.

Many events and activities have been planned during the week complementing the common aims of creating awareness of the eServices for the benefit of the visitors. There will be a raffle draw and mega prizes too. You can find a detailed schedule on the website.

The eight federal entities participating on the unified platform are: the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Environment and Water, General Authority of Islamic Affairs & Endowments and the Ministry of Labour.

Gitex Technology Week will run from October 14 to 18, 2012. You are welcome to visit the TRA's stand at stand S2-L20 in Sheikh Saeed Hall.
