TRA participates in the 3rd Annual Business Continuity and Emergency Response Forum

For the third consecutive year, The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) participated in the 3rd Annual Business Continuity and Emergency Response Forum, this year's forum provided a platform to discuss global best practice when formulating plans for both crisis management and business continuity.
On the second day of the forum, Abdulrahman Yousuf Al Naser, Senior Specialist Telecom Emergency and Support presented to the audience, the main subject of which was titled "Telecom Business Continuity and the Rapid Deployment Solution."
Outlining the regulatory framework surrounding emergency management and business continuity issues formed a significant part of the presentation as well as highlighting the TRA's strategic vision as the industry's regulator in the UAE.
In addition to discussing the role and responsibility of the TRA, Mr. Al Naser also provided a review of the integrated emergency management system in the nation's telecommunications sector.
Mr. Al Naser relayed to the audience the importance of the various stages in a crisis scenario including anticipation of a risk, assessing, prevention, preparedness, respond and recovery.
In addition to the whole host of international sector specialists, a range of technical companies and major emergency response and crisis management consultancies descended on the capital for the two days of talks.
