TRA participates in Careers UAE 2013 exhibition

The TRA is committed to attracting UAE Nationals to join the ICT sector. The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority is participating in Careers UAE 2013, which takes place from April 30 - May 2, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The exhibition is a leading recruitment and training event that serves as a key platform for qualified Emirati graduates and experienced professionals.

Today, 75% of the TRA workforce is UAE Nationals and the TRA hopes to further increase this number through its participation in the exhibition by attracting Emiratis to join the fast developing ICT sector.

H.E. Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim, Director General, TRA, said, "Our participation in this recruitment fair is part of our overall strategy to contribute to the nation's economic sustainability by educating and training Emiratis and graduates to become future business leaders. This is a key objective of the UAE Vision 2030 and also reflects our commitment to attracting qualified national professionals to contribute to the development of the ICT sector in the country. We invite all young candidates to visit our stand at the exhibition to learn more about our exciting career opportunities in the TRA."

The TRA currently has several programmes in place such as scholarships for Emirati students who are looking for internationally recognized degrees through its Betha programme as well as internship opportunities and ongoing initiatives with universities across the UAE.

Potential candidates will be able to engage in direct interactions with senior management and Emirati representatives from the TRA's different departments who will be present at Hall 6, Stand number A6.
